Where can I use the PortaSauna?
The PortaSauna is designed for outdoor use only. It should be placed on a flat surface, with at least 120cm of space around it to keep clear of buildings, trees, fences, or other structures.
If you're setting up at a campsite or public space, it’s best to check with the site operator before use.
Can the PortaSauna be used in winter?
Absolutely. The PortaSauna HEX is built for all seasons, with triple-layer insulated fabric that retains heat in even the coldest conditions.
You’ll still reach authentic sauna temperatures of 80–100°C — even when it’s –12°C outside.
Can I leave the PortaSauna outside permanently?
Yes, but we recommend using the waterproof cover provided. While the tent is built to withstand the elements, long-term exposure to extreme weather may affect durability.
To extend its lifespan, store the stove indoors and pack the sauna away when not in regular use.
How much maintenance does the PortaSauna require?
The PortaSauna is designed to be easy to care for. The high heat naturally dries out moisture, so you’ll just need to empty the ash tray and clean the chimney every few uses.
After each session:
- Let the tent dry completely before packing
- Remove ash from the stove and soot from the chimney
- Store the stove in a dry place
- Apply silicone spray to the zippers occasionally
